Here are some comprehension and grammar tests I compiled a few years ago.
The comprehension exercises in the Elementary and Intermediate sections have been influenced by L. G. Alexander (1932-2002) and especially by his classic graded comprehension book, Question And Answer, which was last revised by Peter Ferguson in 1977!
Question And Answer was the set text book for Elementary classes at Melton College when I started teaching EFL back in 1987. I still occasionally use this book today in some of my Japanese college classes. So the comprehension exercises I have written for this blog are a kind of tribute to L. G. Alexander and an attempt to apply his method to our times.
